You can cry with eyelash extensions but try to avoid crying for at least four hours after your lash appointment. After that, be sure to clean your lashes after crying to avoid oil and salt from your tears.
Yes, you can get a spray tan with eyelash extensions, just make sure to wait 24 hours after you apply eyelash extensions. Another tip, ask the spray tan technician to avoid your eye area to make sure the lashes do not get any spray tan on them. If they do not avoid the lash area, clean your lashes after your tanning appointment.
The best eyelash extension glue is Flow Lash Professional Eyelash Extension Glue because of its fast drying time, it is long-lasting (sticks for as long as eight weeks), and formaldehyde and latex-free for those people with allergies.
Yes, you can swim with eyelash extensions. Please wait 48 hours before swimming so the glue can set in. Be sure to clean your lashes after swimming as chlorine can be hard on your lashes. If you are swimming in the ocean the salt content can also be hard on your lashes so you will need to clean them thoroughly after a dip in the ocean.
Wait 24-48 hours after your eyelash extensions to shower.
You can NOT curl your eyelash extensions. The natural lash that the extensions are attached to can be curled however. The eyelash extensions already come with a pre-set curl so curling should not be necessary.
Yes you can get eyelash extensions while pregnant. Pregnant ladies are usually sensitive to smells so make sure the room is well ventilated. The formaldehyde based glues tend to have a stronger scent, so pregnant ladies should request a glue that is formaldehyde free! It can also be uncomfortable for a pregnant woman to lay completely flat on their back, so get into a chair that can be elevated.
It is not recommended to trim your eyelash extensions. You run a risk of trimming your natural lashes and eyelash extensions come to a point at the end. If you end up trimming your natural lashes they often have a hard time growing back to their full potential.
Avoid taking steamy hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms because it will weaken the glue which bonds the extensions. You will also want to avoid a strong shower jet because this can damage your lash extensions. You will want to review your face washes, soaps and shampoos before using them with your lash extensions. You want to avoid products that have oil or alcohol in them. Products with oil and alcohol will break the adhesive bond of the glue that holds your lash extensions. Be sure to not rub your eyes in the shower.
Ask for lighter lash extensions as they will last longer than the heavier ones. Choose extensions that mimic your natural lash shape. Avoid your eye area when using creams on your face and be careful that the products you use do not have oil or alcohol. Apply an eyelash sealer every morning in order to keep your lashes in place longer. Sleep on your back or side to avoid pushing your lashes into your pillow while you sleep. Clean and brush your lashes daily. The less you mess with your lashes, the longer they will last.
You can wear makeup with eyelash extensions, but avoid using makeup that is oil-based because it makes the glue used in lash extensions less effective. If you choose to use eyeliner, it is recommended that you use a water-based eyeliner so it will be easy to take off and not disrupt your extensions. Avoid using mascara with eyelash extensions and do not wear waterproof makeup. Use a matte powder eyeshadow and apply it with a tight-bristled brush. Be sure to remove excess powder from the brush so it doesn’t get trapped in your extensions.
To dry your eyelash extensions, dab above and below your lashes and let your lashes air dry for the best results. Another way to dry your lashes is to use a blow dryer. Be sure to have the blow dryer on its lowest setting and on cool so the glue stays intact.
Yes, you can wear eyelash extensions with glasses. Your stylist should determine the appropriate distance available. Wearing glasses will not affect your eyelash extensions as long as there is no friction between your extensions and your glass frame, so bring your glasses with you to your eyelash appointment so the stylist can get the correct, best length for you.
